In 2023 The Tank Museum celebrates its centenary – and to mark this milestone we are pleased to announce “The Tank Museum in 100 Objects”.
With a mission to “tell the story of tanks and the people that serve in them”, The Tank Museum has amassed a unique collection of over 100,000 items since it was founded in 1923.
Drawing on 20 years’ experience as curator, David Willey has selected 100 items from the Museum’s collection that define its richness.
Among them medals, documents, photographs, art, models, uniforms, weapons, and of course, tanks.
And for each, a description that tells a unique story and puts their historical significance into context.
