Collectable Coin Series 1 # 2 Churchill AVRE D-Day
The Churchill AVRE coin is the next in a series of exclusive Tank Museum collectable coins. This special Churchill AVRE coin commemorates the 80th anniversary of D-Day and is second out of six limited edition coins in Series 1.Â
The first series will encompass tanks in the Museum’s collection dating from 1939 – 1945 and the first tank in the collection is our world-famous Sherman tank as used in the film “Fury”, available HERE.
The coins will be strictly limited to 500 each, and are individually numbered so you will need to be quick!
The Churchill AVRE operated as part of the engineering squadrons and was intended to to support the land forces during the landing of Normandy. The Churchill AVRE is fitted with a Petard spigot mortar.Â
